Born in Vladivostok in 1906.
1926-1930 Studied at VKHUTEIN in Moscow. His teachers were S. Gerasimov, D. Moor and V. Favorsky.
In the 1920's started to work in graphic art for books.
In the 1930's started to work as a poster artist. He is a master of satirical posters.
In the 1950's and 60's he worked for 'Agitplakat'.
1971 honoured as an Artist of the RSFSR
Died in Moscow in 1974.
