1893 was born in Moscow. Denisov later shortened his surname to Deni.
1913 moved to St.Petersburg and became a successful caricaturist.
After the October Revolution worked for the Litizdat (the state publishing house).
He became one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period (1917-1921).
During the Second World War he returned to the medium of the political poster.
