Description: | The pilot Talalikhin flew out on his fighter to intercept German bombers flying to Moscow on the night of August 6 to August 7. In the glare of the moon in front of him flashed a twin-engine bomber Heinkel -111. Talalikhin gave a volley. The enemy turned back. Talalikhin, shooting, pursued him until the cartridges ran out. Heinkel was leaving. I'll ram, - decided Talalikhin, - I'll die alone, but the fascists will die four. He threw the hawk close to the rudders of the German car, so that they could be screwed with a screw. The enemy shooter struck the hawk from a heavy machine gun. Talalikhin burned his hand. He gave a sharp gas and crashed into the tail of Heinkel. From the blow of the hawk, he turned over and, without listening to the rudders, began to fall precipitously. Seizing the moment, Talalikhin threw himself on a parachute. He saw how Heinkel fell through the fire and crashed. Victor Talalikhin became the hero of the Soviet Union. |
