"Gudok" - Russian federal newspaper of railway workers, in the past - the press organ of the Ministry of Railways of the USSR and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Railway Transport Workers; published in Moscow since December 1917. In May 1920, with the beginning of the campaign to restore transport in Soviet Russia, the newspaper began to appear daily under the name "Gudok". In the 1920s, the so-called fourth strip of the Whistle, which was of a satirical nature, became more famous. Topical feuilletons were placed here, including those written on the basis of letters from workers, correspondents and readers. Writers and journalists collaborated in the newspaper - I. Ilf, E. Petrov, M. Bulgakov, V. Kataev, Yu. Olesha, K. Paustovsky, M. Zoshchenko and others. In 1958, in connection with the release of the 10,000th issue, the Gudok newspaper was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
