Born in Kharkov in 1913.
1931-1936 Studied at the Moscow Construction Institute.
1930 Together with brother Oleg created caricatures (with the signature of MOA) for the newspapers "Atheist" and "Working Moscow" and the magazine "Projector".
1932 onwards drew political caricatures for the magazines "Crocodiles", "Banner", "The Soviet Woman", "Spark" and "News" and for the newspapers, "The Moscow Truth", "The Literary Newspaper", "Truth" and others.
1943 Created a series of drawings "Fighting 1943".
1950 - 1960 Author of graphic albums "Those without a Mask", "Satire", "Satire on enemies of the world", "Colonizers!" and (together with A. Bazhenov) "On Alert" and others with signatures of Soviet poets, a series of drawings: "The World Congress in Moscow", "Dust" and to I. Borodina's lampoon of a story "Diary of Doctor Normana".
1956 onwards created posters based on agricultural themes.
1964 Honoured worker of arts of RSFSR.
1994 Died in Moscow.
