New additions to the collection are placed at the beginning of the overall list. The collection is systematically updated, mostly with the posters of the early period of the USSR. On the contrary, less interesting posters, from the standpoint of Sergo Grigorian, are excluded from the exhibited collection.

The collection's arrangement

Great attention has been given to the structure of this collection. One can view posters by catalogue number, by year, by categories, themes as well as by artists, which are placed in alphabetic order. 

Posters are divided into groups and subgroups:

• by historical periods
• by series
• by artists
• by printing techniques

• by place of publication
• by printing houses
• by style
• by categories/themes
• by language

The website features allow a selected search system based on various criteria.

Sergo Grigorian has carefully constructed a collection of soviet political posters, deliberately disregarding other interesting themes such as cinema, circus, theatre, sports and advertising (except those with clear underlying political meaning).

Books and materials

Along with Soviet political posters, Sergo Grigorian is also collecting literature and materials related to the subject of the collection. In the description box one can find references to the printing sources, books where a particular  poster was published or mentioned.

It is imminent to accumulate duplicates while expanding the collection as well as materials that are beyond the scope of the collection.
