He was born on February 2, 1872, in the village of Novoivanovka (now Pavlogra district, Dnipropetrovsk region, according to other data - Kharkov). He graduated from the Poltava Cadet Corps (1890); studied at the Kazan Junker Military School (1893-1894); at the St. Petersburg School of Painting and Drawing by A. Makovsky (1903), at the Academy of Arts (1906-1907). Teachers in the specialty: P. Nilus and K. Kostandi, N. Samokish. Painter. Designed postcards with views of Ukrainian cities. The author of landscapes of the Crimea, the Volga, the Azov Sea, the Urals, the Caucasus, the environs of St. Petersburg and Moscow, battle canvases, monumental - decorative paintings, illustrations, posters. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1938). Participated in exhibitions: Republican (1894). Solo exhibitions - in Moscow (1908, 1912), Minsk (1918). Major works: the series - "Landscapes of the Crimea" (1925-1960), "Leninsky places. Ulyanovsk ”,“ Fishers of Azov ”(1935); decorative panels - “Climbing on the peak of Stalin”, “Spring in bloom” (1937), “Blooming Moldavia” (1938), “Animal husbandry” (1939); watercolors - “Autumn in the Crimea” (1925), “Moonlight night in the sanatorium“ Pearl ”” (1952), “Crimea. Gaspra "(1953)," View of Gurzuf "(1954). Developed a label for Crimean wine "Black Doctor". Some works are kept in the Sevastopol Art Museum, the Simferopol Art Museum, the Kharkov Art Museum, the Poltava Art Museum. He lived and worked in the city of Kharkov, died November 1, 1962, in the city of Simferopol.
